In snow you want skinnier tyres to cut through it rather than sitting on top

I have driven FWD, I HATE IT! RWD is in my experience & opinion the best. F1 cars are RWD. As is the Mercedes-Benz winning DTM car. Lancia stratos & the 037 the most successful rally cars. RWD is pure excellence!

If the ice is hard & you have no spikes, wider is better. Hmmm depends on power in snow, skinny tires arn't always the way.

That is not the reason why under-inflating tyres helps on snow. Infact thinner tyres are better on snow - not exactly 'common sense' though is it (Its trying to get as much weight onto the contact patch as possible). Under-inflating the tyre can help the tyre adapt & conform better to the surface, although not much use when there is compacted snow/ice under it. BTW, the most succesfull rally cars are AWD!
I reject your reality & substitute my own..

We just find it irritating when kids claim to be the best at everything, know more than everyone else, and argue every little point with no basis for it at all, especially when corrected don't have the sense to just say "Ok yeah I was wrong".
We all make mistakes but to continually rattle on about how awesome you are at everything when other people have been around a lot longer is just digging a hole.
For instance I pointed out something you'd written in reference to your age and you just reply with an insult. Is that the clever way to get credability? I didn't realise that when we're insulted for being right, that we should respect you more. Good system!
Quit behaving so daft while you're not too far behind. People will be fine with you if you stop talking hot air.
And you're not laid back - that's why you're getting upset about people highlighting the silly comments you're making.
As for arrogant, it's the same kind of thing as being big headed. If you're amazing at everything you do, arrogance is understandable to a point but still a bit laughable. If you're less than amazing at everything you do then arrogance is purely hilarious.
So presume you must be amazing at everything you do, right?
Maybe not "amazing" but good. I have more mistakes too learn from ( experience ). Maybe i do act a tool at times, but all i want to do is be better at the things i enjoy. I was just sharing my mothers boyfriend's knowledge, as he did with me.

Well it works for me. Maybe AWD is the best ever but Subaru & Mitsu's arn't the best.

Ahhh turning into an interesting thread now... maybe we should start a fwd/rwd/awd thread... I think 'the best' is a matter of opinion & no doubt down to driver choice, but subaru's success in rallying cannot be poo-poo'd & its from this that the road version is bred- not a bad heritage ehh..
I reject your reality & substitute my own..

See now there's a pretty sensible post. There's hope for you yet mate. The last few posts on this thread are a big improvement to your earlier ones - keep going like that and you're heading in the right direction to ruffle fewer feathers.
If you don't like my comments, don't cause me to write them. How simple is that!
