Good stuff, although I can imagine quite a few people may wish to post something then decide they won't bother if they have to register etc (even though it's dead easy!).

If there was an anonymous post section for bad drivers I'm sure lots more bad driving would get reported.

That wouldn't be so bad but the problem with anonymous stuff is that it is open to abuse so you'd likely end up with all sorts of unpleasant stuff.

Not sure what the answer is really.

what if you have a honest mistake for example like i had once i changed down aound a corner once (well round-a-bout) and i was in a very torquie car and the back end came out on me i was well in within the speed limit etc etc etc and i corrected and applied some power to catch it and drive on carefully. is this classed as dangerous driving or need reporting?

to a outsider yes probably but if you spoke to me or was sat in the car with me then no not at all fair from it and if i did anything else like hit the brake or the likes i would of crached! in this case (to my good luck of course) Dibble was coming towards me on this particular round-a-bout and saw the whole thing so i carried on and then pulled over got out and waited for him! His reply is a WHOLE other story. nothing happened as in charges or anything but still.

I just think if we see something "iffy" they we must be open minded and not just presume RING THE POLICE QUICK..... just my view

Agreed with the above. We all make mistakes when driving and anyone that says they don't is a fibber. So where do you draw the line from thinking "O well that was a mistake or bad judgement by him/ her" and
" OMG look at that fruit cake, I 'm gonna call the police". Are we all to judgemental on other drivers or are the standards of driving really that low, how do you decide?? Difficult situation.

Unfortunatly driving standards are decided by the lowest common denominator... Although some drivers may be able to power slide, hand brake turn & drive russ swift style perfectly safley, others may not.
If I saw a car coming the opposite direction with its back end out, I would most likley take evaside action because I am not to know if the driver can handle it? ...
Where is the line between 'in control' & ' out of control' on public roads?

Fair enough, but where do we draw the line between an honest mistake, and the idiot that likes to show off to his mates, trying to kick the back end out on every corner or at roundabouts etc.....

This is where its hard for a witness to determine if it requires reporting or not & thus having this forum is ideal for people to comment on what they saw, others may come forward with simular sightings.. Rather than going straight to the police with what could be a one-off genuine mistake.
