This detail was carried out last week, I have only just had time to update the forum with pictures of the processes and the results of our Elegance option.
The car was bought used from a dealership with around 25,000miles on the odometer a couple months ago.
From analysing the paint there were clearly some areas where the car had been cleaned using some ultra-abrasives (aka A Wall!) previously, otherwise the car was relatively clear from defects inside and out.
The interior had suffered from some paint deposits and the outside had some tar spots. These weren't corrected as it's not part of the Elegance option. There was also a foul smell in the car that was tracked down to be some soaking wet football boots.
We started off with the interior, this was vacuumed, this comprised of the seats, rooflining, dashboard, floor mats and all carpets (even under the folding seats). And due to the type of carpet used in the car we had to use a hair extractor to remove some of the stubborn hairs that the vaccuum couldn't pick up.
All the interior windows and mirros were polished. The doorcards, dashboard, centre console and B-pillar plastics were cleaned and treated. The seats were sprayed down with fabric conditioner to remove water stains, mud and other bits of dirt that had stained the seats. The interior was treated with odour treatment and the leather steering wheel and gear gaitor were cleaned.
The exterior was rinsed down, washed and conditioned using a microfibre washmit. Our top to bottom and 'rinse the mit out per new panel' techniques were used to reduce contamination of dirt. The doorshuts, boot and bonnet shuts were also cleaned and the car was rinsed down again.
The wheels were cleaned using a none scratch bristle brush and a gentle ingredient that disolves brake dust, tar and the likes from the alloys, the wheels were then rinsed down to complete the detail.
We hope you enjoy the 'walkthrough' and the pictures.
Looks clean from here....
Closer up....
The dashboard looks clean....
There was alot of dust deposited on the dashboard..
The exterior had flymarks, road film and general dirt splattered all over and with silver being an awkward colour to work with (as it hides alot of dirt) it's hard to take pictures of just how well this car came out with our Elegance detail alone.
