New manx web site

Another manx web site launched today advertising the sale of cars and motorbikes etc both from dealers and members of the public. It's free for us mere mortals for private sales which has been the same as the likes of Manx Ads but the search facility on this site is much better I think. It also seems to have more dealers on there advertising than the other sites.

http://www.manxmotortrader.com

It also incorperates insurance and finance quotes which is a bit different for over here too. I heard this on Energy and there appears to be a link on their web site to it too.

The island is short of a 'fully comprehensive' auto trader.... there have been a few (xlr8 included) that have tried & not succeded & I fear the same for this new site (unless huge investment is made in it).

Manxads, manx.net & isleofman.com (for garage sales) & of course our own xlr8 classifieds are what I always use...

I actually know a guy who has something to do with the new site. I'm sure he would appreciate any feedback or suggestions as I imagine that he wants it to be the Islands fully comprehensive site as you suggested.
I always used manx ads, to sell and buy but always found it lacked a little something and was generally not great to search on especially with people's ads which were spelt wrong etc.
"I know a guy" doesn't mean it's actually me  I have nothing to do with it. Someone has already PM'd me asking if it was mine. It's not although I would have been pretty happy if it was.

What do you think would make it better?

I had a quick look at this last night. Looks quite good so far. The only thing I would like to see that it hasn't got is a "View All" button.

I'll pass it on the next time I see him. I know he'll appreciate the feedback. Thanks for replying.

Worth considering a pistonheads style parts section, and possibly garage services.

As a side not many of the pictures were not loading when i looked.

Hi Steven,

If it was anything like Autotrader it would be fantastic, that is the niche in the IOM market.
