Anyone actually have VAGCOM to read error codes?

Yeah I have a licensed copy of VAGCOM, I even have VAGTACHO but I think the interface cable for that is shot.
I have a KKL cable i.e. the one used on 96 or newer MK3 Golfs. If this is the same as your car then I could reset the warning for you.

Think I've got a convert cable to the 2x2 older style connectors
Might give you a shout when my blue temp sender arrives if it's OK with you?

Yeah sure never used it on a mk4 so would be interested to see what else it can do.
