    Hi Guys

I just had my baby serviced, which set me back a cool 273 pounds but at least its done now. I have however been advised that the timing belt needs replacement urgently, and got quoted 340 pounds including fitment. I wanted to know if you think thats a good price for that to be done or if I'm getting overcharged, because I feel like it's a little expensive ?

Any guidelines or anyone know of places in IOM that i can get that done for a better price ?

    Cheers

It is quite an expensive job on the 20v golf an audi engines as you have to replace the water pump at the same time. I think the cambelt kit is about 150 quid alone

    Thanks for the response.

I had the cambelt and waterpump and pipes done this morning, along with a MAF sensor replacement. Had the following error codes on my car last night when i did a diag.

    17705
    17544
    16891
    16486

So apparently all but one is related to the MAF sensor which is now done. Lastly, I need brake servos replaced which is another 54 pounds, getting done on Thursday!

So far so good, car is coming together !: D
