is it me or when CABLE AND WIRELESS AND CLOUD 9 come to the island WHO IN THIS FORUM WILL LEAVE MANX TELECOM FOR GOOD I CERTAINLY HOPE MANX TELECOMS BUSINESS SINKS BECAUSE ITS ****** POOR SERVICE I HOPE CLOUD 9 AND CABLE AND WIRELESS ARE BETTER.

I won't, the island cannot support 3 networks.

And if MT went down, think of all the jobs that will go.

4 networks support 55 mllion odd people in the UK, how can 3 support 70k? Doesn't make sense in my opinion.

Why not? They are big companies and this is just an extra slice of pie to them so they can easily afford to do it.

If it was 2 new companies that didn't exist elsewhere then you might be right that it's not enough of a market but that's not the case so they have plenty of existing resource to set up over here.

It's great as it gives us the chance of decent deals at long last after telecom have been shafting us all for so long. All the proof you need that telecom are panicking is the new deals they've just brought out.

If they are better, then manx telecom with have to rethink itself. plus manx telecom own all the infrastructure, they aint just gonna disapear.

Manx telecom offer sh*t service.

Granted there would be massive job loose's but! MT should have offered better service from the begining and not over charging people because they were the only ISP.

MT's internet service is shocking aswell, they can't even ADSL at 99% uptime for ffs.

It depends what they are offering i suppose but i more than likely will change to them, anythings better than MT

went in to cellco this weekend.......thinking of getting a new contract and asked them should i get it now or once Cloud 9 comes in they sed to wait..........the deals must be good if they are telling me to wait

Not sure if anyone else has noticed but MT are doing some better deals with pronto which is a 1st coz there only ever been on type up till this year and this past mth they have introduced loads of tarriffs!

Will prolly go with which everyone has the best deal at the time

Is the O2 thing the same as this? coz i had some annoying man ringing me at home the other day trying to pursuade me to change to contract on O2 and get a free phone at the same time Contract is ok but i had it wen i was 16 and ran up a massive bill coz i had no limit to what i was spending, at least with pay as u go i cant spend any more on credit wen i have no money lol think ill be sticking with that! Unless u can get this thing on pay as u go too.....?
