Afternoon all. Just trying to gauge how many BMW owners are on the forum and if any of you are e39 owners. Always good to share tips in a common interest.
I own a 523i e39 and I love it.
Feel free to share your own experiences and BMW's past and present on this thread.

Just thought of one. I'm looking for my old e28 5 series. HMN 808 U in silver. Just wondered if anyone has spotted it?

I have a BMW, its not an E39 and it drinks the devils fuel. Cheap to run but very dull.
I need to follow Toby's example and sell it to buy a Porsche!

No you don't. Anything but a Porsche. You would be letting yourself down since you own a Corvette. Unless it's a 911 GT3 RS or similar. That would be cool!

Yeah, but I am going to be putting the Corvette up for sale next month, a sad day...... I think a GT3 RS would be cool though, shame I need to spend most of the cash on the house...

I am into BMW's as well, and have been for a few years now, love them! Got- E46 320d SE, E30 325 stage rally car, E30 316 tourer (service car for the rally car), E30 318 2 door (spare shell for the rally car, just in case!), E30 325 2 door auto (bit rotten, mostly for spares) Had- another 4, maybe 5 E30's of various models, E36 325 4 door in black which i loved and shouldnt really have sold But its still running about, saw it the other day, had really silly rear tyres on the back making it look like a drag racer!! Wouldnt mind buying it back if anybody know's who owns it? As for E39's never had one, and would only be interested in an M5, just for the looks you understand and nothing to do with performance of course

Lots of good BMW's going on. S2000, I assume you still have the M5? I love the looks of the e39 M5 and yes.....those alloys are rather nice. Mine are only reps but I didnt pay a great deal for them so I'm happy with that, especially if me or the wife happen to crang one. man-330, Welcome to the forum Not had that many BM's then Had an e30 a few years back 325i touring in white. Loved it to bits but couldn't justify it's age realated running costs or the fuel! Bloomin good fun though. Really miss the soundtrack from the old M20 engine. Still miss the e28 like crazy though. Sold due to a dodgy alternator. Should have fixed it really Still. M5's are going for silly money these days. Lots about on eBay! Suppose it's the right time to be buying big engined cars though!
