Could do with a bottle of octane boost if anyone knows a garage either in douglas or south that sells it?

Got given a car that I've just had to tax as it's been off the road nearly 2 years. Has a full tank of juice but obviously the fuel won't be in the best state.
It runs ok, but after the fuel has sat 2 years or so I think the octane will have dropped a lot, and with a massive 659cc of raw blistering power it could do with all the help it can get!

    Cheers

    Cheers Tree

Yeah mate - an import Mira. My gran donated it for mrs to learn to drive in. :D
Gonna need a disguise for when I go out in it though. It's proper bad, and not in a good way.
Managed to get 55mph out of it so far, but like I say, it's got 2 year old juice in it so it's not going to do the power any favours when it's that stale!
Might well not notice any difference doing this but worth a try I guess. The full tank of juice might last a long long time and I can't be @rsed draining it out to use in other stuff.

Bah, tried to get some earlier from milestone but couldn't find it. There was an orange bottle of fuel system cleaner type stuff or something that astoundingly claims 10% more power with its use, and a few STP products including fuel system cleaner but couldn't see any octane boost.

Never mind. Maybe were just out of stock or something. I asked the bloke there and he said if I couldn't see it they mustn't have any left.
    Will try again another day.

Yeah, was a little orange bottle but there was no mention of the word octane on it I don't think, just comments about restoring lost power from deposits, and cleaning stuff etc so it's not the same thing really.

Can try DMS yeah, just thought I'd try since I had to come into town today.

No worries bud. Probably won't make a scrap of difference anyway, but worth a try for the sake of a few quid and given how old the fuel is.
