    Hey chaps,

Anywhere over here that can do this? I've found a few that can underseal & waxoyl, but kinda pointless without the steam clean first as it'll just seal the salt in!
With the DOT gritting the roads this morning for, as far as I can tell, no reason, I really need to get this done :(

    Cheers

Ooh now your asking... Hmm you could try 'Envy' for advice (link at top of forum), but im not sure if he is over at the moment.... Try also 'Starwash' I think they have steam cleaners..... Its certainly something that I think will be of interest to most forum members now the gritters are out...
I reject your reality & substitute my own..

Do you know anyone with a ramp or pit that you can use for a day? Thinking you could possibly hire a steam cleaner for the day, could even paint the underside yourself with some Por15, save yourself some pennies.....

    Thanks for the suggestions guys.

Are Starwash any good? I'm a bit (perhaps wrongly!) put off by their name always
I'd probably only worry if I did it myself, the only thing I'm any good with is computers and I'd hate to make a mess of a job on my pride and joy :(

Starwash are not as good as they used to be. Always leaving dirty spots etc now.

Its a pretty easy job Waxoyling. Just a little messy. If you fancy having a go yourself and need somewhere to do it give me a shout. Might be able to clear a bit of space over the pit.

But if you definitely want someone else to do it call Azzy Paints. Pretty sure they have the facilities and the know how.

The worst thing about snow is the salt/grit that gets put on the road. I do my best not to drive at all when it happens. It can start rust issues with your sills, chassis......anywhere it can get to. If you have a car you plan to keep.....don't drive it!

Last year I had Reynolds and Turner put some underseal on the rear chassis of the XR2. I'm sure they have a steam cleaner. They also will do that hot wax treatment too, they did it on the CRX after having some spraywork done.
I'm aiming to be a legend, and I will be!
