What made you go for the Blade mcxp? what Tx are you using?
If you want to learn helicopters you are better getting a known brand (Esky- Align, Walkera, etc..)
    I have a Esky Belt CP (450 size) & a Trex 500 .... Ive also have lots of co-ax...

Setting up heli's is straight forward as long as you have a good guide & the correct tools....
See www.heliguy.com they have loads of useful info there.

I chose the blade as its indoors and out and it does stunts when your ready , I've had a raptor and a merlin 380 but fancied something small to practice with and I bought it new for £117 on fleabay and felt it was a good buy ??

First Google found this, might be worth checking  : http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1405236

I've only ever flown one nitro heli, that was a case of slowly increasing the throttle until you can practice take off and landing from about 3-4 feet, adjusting any settings that allowed it to take off in a reasonably straight line. Wasn't that keen on owning a heli, cost a fortune in parts and fuel!!

Yep pretty scary stuff them nitros and that's what I had to do but when I had it hovering I had second thoughts especially with my dog taking a liking to it ! It was all a bit too dangerous for me so I went smaller and electric .

Well I sorted this little heli out last night and kind of had it hovering ! I think it must be outside to learn then indoors when ive got to grips with it , does anyone know of there are any clubs over here for this type of thing ??

If you want one for indoor use I'd go for a co-ax like esky Dauphin http://www.heliguy.com/Electric-RC-Heli ... Main-Group OR
    Big lama etc http://www.heliguy.com/Electric-RC-Heli ... Main-Group

Ive had boh & they are super stable!..

Any heli with a tail rotor is tricky to fly & best for outside use. Get a sim to practice on- thats a great way to learn..

Now that's a big chopper  I don't suppose anyone on here has a flight sim that they don't need ?? I will be taking it down the rugby club this weekend weather permitting and trying my best !! I can't get it to hover in the house so I'll give it a whirl down there that way it's got a soft crash site
