As far as i know. You can't drive at 16. The only motorised vehicle that can be used by anyone under the ages of 17 is a 50cc moped.

yes you can drive in uk at 17

Are you sure about that? May be different if you have a manx licence i guess but certainly on a uk one you cant drive a car on the roads before your 17 ( unless its changed very recently ) so would imagine the cops would certainly pull you over and would think they would do a lot of checking before they let you go on your way!

I thought that you had to be 17 now to take your test over here now anyway... i know you can still drive at 16 (learn). so... surely you cant drive in the UK?

i know you used to be able too. if you had a full licence you were allowed to drive in the UK anywhere. suppose it could be different now thou. :?

It was a question i came accross in my driving theory test just a week or so ago...if you are 16 and hold a full licence you CAN drive in the UK as you are on a full licence,....contact vehicle licensing if you have any problems but you are allowed to drive in the uk at 16 (ONLY ON A FULL LICENCE)

If you are 16, then you can't drive in the UK (with a provisional or full licence).

If you are 17 and over then you can drive in the UK - but only with a full licence. Someone with a Manx provisional licence, can not use it in the UK. The same goes for someone with a UK provisional licence - they can't drive over here with it.
