Is there anyone on the island who sells the Erde PM310 single bike trailer or a similar trailer?
I am planning to take some trips away this year hopefully and thought about buying a cheap car with bar and a trailer to take the bike on.

    This is the fella

Figured this would be a better way to A, keep the miles on the bike to a minimum and B, make the journey to where I am going that little bit easier.
As much as I like riding my bike motorway miles just dont do it for me.

There is one for sale on the Triple forum I go on for £200 but he is in East Yorkshire so not easy to collect.

    Dave,

Got an Erde bike trailer myself. Well built - pretty solid. Forgot how much it cost but it was supplied from country warehouse near B&Q.

I only use it in case I break down, fortunately, I have had not had this happen or if I need to kart the enduro about. Personally I wouldn't put anything shiney on a bike trailer in case it falls and I've had the enduro fall off a few times, fortunately the bike's built strong.

If I was in your shoes, I'd invest in a cheap van and tint the windows instead of farting about with trailers. Also, a van would be more secure.... worth considering dood.

Have been looking at vans, I would want as small a van as possible that I can fit the bike in the back of.
A transit connect would probably be ideal but they are going for more than I can afford right now.
Not really seen any cheapish smallish vans for sale, have been checking ManxAds regular and not really seen anything that fits my bill.

Dave, have you thought about a small box trailer?
Advantage, you can strap the bike to a padded frame inside.
Security, nobody can see what is inside.
Bike stays clean inside the trailer, no traffic grim/stone chips.

Disadvantage is the cost of a trailer going on the boat.

Across you can pick up a suitable box trailer for £400 - £600

The more I think about it the more I am swaying towrds the van idea to be honest mate.
I think I would get far more use out of a van than a trailer of some description.
Just looking at options for now, too many other things going on to really concentrate on this just now.

Not much really Lee, as cheap as possible. Dont mind one needing some mechanical work, prefer it not to be rough as hell body wise though.
Need it to be a small as possible but still be able to get my bike in the back of and secure it down
    What trade-ins do you get?
