    Right,

Got this as a none runner:

Ok, Here is what we did:

Full engine rebuild (top and bottom ends with all new gasket set, new main bearings, replacment crank and piston),
Replaced forks and serviced new ones with new seals,
Removed, repaired and refitted wiring loom (must be the only Aprilia with reliable electrics, lol),
Refurbished and resprayed wheels Ducati bronze,
Refurbished and resprayed front and rear brake calipers (changed to gold),
Resprayed side and rear panels (changed seat surround to silver),
Polished front cone and fuel tank,
New front and rear wheel bearings,
    All new decal set,
    New front and rear tyres,
New front and rear brake pads.

Bike was stripped back to the frame basicly, and here she is now:

Just need a full inspection and some runing in then I think ill get to the CBT, so where is a good place and good price for it (the CBT)?

Bike looks good, alot of effort and time has gone into that! Did you do the restoration yourself?

CBT - Bryan Rodgers or Bridge tuition at Road and Track. Prices are pretty similar. £90-120.

Wouldn't try and do your practical on a RS tho. Steering lock for turn in the road will be an issue as is the power delivery or lack of in the lower revs. Something to consider.

A mate of mine has a garage space and use to work for a motorbike garage in the UK so he did the mechanics. We both did the electrics, and I did the wheels, brakes and all prep work on the panels so the bodyshop just had to top coat. Then I did the decals :)

Looks good. I had one of them a few years ago too :)

As RoadRunner said though, you are best using the intsructors bike for CBT. You will struggle getting round the cones with the Aprilia.

You cant actually 'fail' a CBT but the instructor will put you on the bike to do various manoeuvres starting off slowly. I think the first one is to ride around in a large circle letting you get used to the bike. Only when he is happy that you have enough control on the bike will he take you on a 2hr ride on the open road. Once this is done he will issue you a certificate and you can then ride the Aprilia without supervision.

I went with Lydon Powell at http://www.proride.co.im I found the hardest part was riding a bike slowly and in control :)
Go for it . You wont regret it.
