Well, finally got into bikes. Been modifing cars for many years now ( mainly VW's ) and always had an interest in bikes but never really owned one ( i had a vespa gt for a while but hey ). The wife is calling this stage of my life a mid life crisis but im hoping its not as im only 32 and would quite like to reach retirement! Finally got my hands on a bike a few months ago after doing my CBT. Its a 2003 honda shadow 125 ( stop laughing at the back! we all have to start somewhere...). Done a few bits to personalise it since getting it such as removed the rear seat, change the bars and risers and planning on doing a bit more as and when funds allow. Would like to get old style triumph drop handlebar mirrors, modify the arches to include the lights and respray the bike a satin black or urban camo. I know its not going to be the wildest creation in the world but it will be a nice learning curve for me and something i can hopefully be proud of when im finished. Cheers Marc What she looked like when i got her:- And now with the dark blue stickers removed, rear seat removed and new bars/risers:-

Good lad! Two wheels is a who different world, I love it. Maybe have to meet up sometime for a lap.
Just ride sensibly and keep safe.

Cheers Dave, Yeah its good to be back on 2 wheels, Bike needs a bit more tidying up ( wheels need a paint or respoke, exhaust needs repairing or replacing) but its good fun. Took it across to north wales when i first got it and was good fun! A lap would be cool ( not done one yet! ) but you will have to go slow so i can keep up lol

Was out and about for around 4 hours on Saturday, had some errands to run so decided to take the bike, ended up traveling most of the island to have a good run out on the ol' girl

Weather was good on sat, abit cold tho. How's the bike running?
Got the enduro out for a blast, never realised how sore highsides were!
Anyhow, longer days and warmer weather is soon to be upon us. Shame my leather don't fit anymore! lol

Marc, the bike is sweet. I used to get laughed at on my 250 Superdream, Aprilia 125 and SR125 Cret, get the knobblies on and I will join you. Still extremely unfit and some of the lanes I have been on recently are extremely hard work but its good fun duuuuuuuuuuude.

Dude! I never knew you had a traillie - DRZ eh! They're meant to be good tanks of a bike. Thinking about it I rather suspect sadly I'm going to be stuck with the road wheels for a while as the wife will be off on maternity in a couple of months so I'll be biking in to work. Would love to do that at some point though. I LOVE greenlaning even though I'm slow and unfit meself!
If you don't like my comments, don't cause me to write them. How simple is that!
