I've had a pair of the Altenzo in 225/45r17 on the front of the s14 for a month or so now so I'll try and put up a bit of a review.
Good grip in the corners unless pushing very hard then I started to get some understeer even with the amount of camber I'm running up front.
Sidewall is very soft. The pirelli pzero I had before were a bit stiffer and offered better response and feel.
Not clever in the wet when pushing on at all
Under hard braking I can lock up both front wheels (though my brakes are pretty strong and scare the abs away most of the time). Again in the wet, go easy.
Summary:
Excellent price & the dealer is good
just don't expect amazing performance for the price (especially in the wet!!)
Would I buy them again? Yes but only for a daily driver or skidding on the back.
This is my experience of these Tyres, also worth noting that my diff will cause minor understeer (not as much as I got though) it is probably unfair to compare them to the pirellis I had before but that's all I have to go on. As with anything you get what you pay for!
Will update as I find....
