Just means they will sit further out in the arch. The lower the number the further away from the body they sit.
Depending on the shape/design of the wheel and tyre size you may experience issues with the tyre contacting the rear arch lip.
Easiest way to see is to try them on the car if you can.

even on standard arches, there is loads of room on the supra, depending on the width of the wheel, et30 should be fine!!

I have fitted 8.5 x 19" et35 on a supra in the past with standard arches and had no problem.

IIRC the offset on standard supra wheels is something silly like ET50. And they sit miles inside the arch. ET30 will bring it almost flush with the arch and will look a whole lot better.

    Do you have standard arches?
    Are you currently running spacers?

The general rule of thumb with offset is the lower the offset the bigger your penis! Manly offset is single digits or minus figures.

Out of interest what wheels you looking at?

Answer to your questions, yes standard arches, i dont think there are spacers (never had the wheels off) and the alloys iv seen are these http://www.manxads.com/?Title=18-x-8-Ev ... ngId=25025 The ones i have at the minute are only 17'' and look so small compared with the rest of the car, so i think these will set it off nicely. Thanks for all your help anyway..

Not too sure about those wheels on your supra. I think 18" is needed tho. Possibly something like these wheels (17" i know but would look pimp!)
