Oh dear seems to me the locals are at it again. Out on their bikes, thinking they can join the visitors and lead them in bad riding....

So far been overtaken by 6 locals on double whites in a 30 (The ones in crosby on the hill) and the visitors are behaving.... As usual...

Ok so there's stupid amount of speed limits on the TT course (From Douglas to Cronk-Y-Voddy there's half a mile of destricted) but at least make some effort people...

Crotch rockets seem to think its ok to pass on double whites, law unto themselves most of the time. Have to say its my pet hate when they surround you at a set of traffic lights...

    Hi All

Yes, it is that time of year again, and yes there are more idiots on the roads... some local and some from the big Island (and not just on bikes!). However, as a biker myself, I spare a extra thought at this time (as well as MGP) when driving and riding. You have to remember that just around that next corner there could be a biker who has misjudged it and isn't where he/she really wants to be. It's no good complaining about them... they've been coming over for many years, and many more I hope, so you just have to get on with it.

Just remember that bikers are road users just like the rest of us, and they make mistakes just like the rest of us, however, on a bike, some mistakes can be terminal, and it's not just you or them that gets hurt, think about the bikers family and yours! :|

No-one goes out on the roads intentionally looking to have an accident... Not even the riders with crotch rockets!

    Cheese

aint had any problems with idiot bikers yet but we only a few days in
must admit there are far too many local people in cars causing problems by jamming their brakes on or swerving towards the hedge everytime a bike comes anywhere near them.
also is it only be who feels slightly embarrassed when u see manx people on haggered old bikes riding like dicks trying to show off to the english etc really nice new shiny bikes?

defo be going for a blast over the mountain at some point now its one way tho. shame i work in castletown or i cudve gone every day to work. but i hope i dont see repeats of last year
1 - please dont attempt the mountain road in a 1.2 clio with 4-5 people in it, you WILL get in the way
2 - Only bikes with engines are allowed. why the police let cylcists go up last year is beyond me
3 - remember, just because there will be nothing coming towards you, check your mirrors before overtaking. had a few near misses last year where people would just pull out with no indication

one cool thing i did see tho was a car going along the boot open and a guy in the boot taking photos. think he was selling them online but cudnt find the address for love nor money.

Was coming back down whitebridge into onchan today and a convoy of bikers were overtaking over the double whites coming towards me. The lines are there to keep them safe as its a blind section of road, but they seemed to know better!!!

Don't get me started either - People walking in the road, cyclists, horse owners, horse boxes, trucks, fat bikers on underpowered mopeds.... You name it they should all get some common sense from somewhere! Between them they haven't got enough to even walk in a straight line!
