If its off the car you could drop it into gallas and one of us would do it for you. Bit of a pain otherwise, can't usually weld them properly under the car... Kind of depends what you need??

    Did you find someone cheap?

A friend of mine need his exhaust welded, just after middle silencer it has split, should be easy enough to fix though, disconnect at the cat and pop the whole thing off.

Really struggling to get someone to weld it back together, had no idea it'd be so complex, I thought £15-£20, less than 30 minutes work and that'd be it, worse comes to the worse (ie its too badly corroded), remove the middle silencer and just straight pipe it, again only going to be around £20-£30 I thought!

Probably be easier just to remove it to be honest as there aint many places that will just do a bodged welding job anymore as they would prefer to rip people off by charging double the price for a new peice of exhaust system on this sh*t hole of a place we live on

Which is a shame, yes welding thin metal is hard compared to thick metal, but that's part of being a good welder isn't it?, I just keep getting told it isn't worth welding as a new exhaust would only be £60 plus fitting. I've looked at welding courses (nobody does over here!) but can't afford it at the mo, I will do though, then i'll make my own exhausts
