Would like to rent either a single garage or a small workshop, but needs to be big enough to fit a car in, room to work inside would be a bonus though. Failing that anybody like to share a big workshop space and i'll go halves? Will pay the going rate, Just need something before the winter weather really kicks in!

    Thanks,

    nitro.

Big workshop would be enough space to work on 2 cars +, looking at around £160+ , Just trying to gauge interest really, as i'm struggling to find something on my own, so if anybody has a big workshop they'd like to rent................. :D

I think a lot of people are in the same boat, myself included. Unfortunately as I'm still paying off the Escort and trying to save some pennies to buy parts for the Escort and to build the garage I'm brassic skint, so can't even offer to help out to go halves on somewhere.

I'd be interested in sharing if you find somewhere big enough for 2 cars with room to work.

Myself and my brother are looking for a double garage also. He is currently working on his car a single lock-up which is not ideal.

I did think of putting a 'Wanted' Ad in the paper. Still keeping my ears and eyes open.

If the price is not too restrictive would people consider a share of a larger garage or small industrial unit? Say something that would hold about 5 -6 cars? I know someone who has a small unit that is not been used at the moment. He may consider letting it out. I will get a price if there is genuinely enough interest.

    Just an idea.

Bit undecided as you could easily rent a small industrial unit for around £450+, with enough room for probably 8 cars and storage upstairs but whose name would be on the lease? and what would happen if someone couldn't pay on time?, electricity?..........who used what?, building insurance?, content insurance?, liability insurance? just too many variables I think!

If you could get a price on the small unit that would be a starting point, but there would have to be leases/agreements signed otherwise its an easy way to fall out, so far i've had 7 people PM me about sharing somewhere if I could find it but would have to be in/around Douglas (braddan etc)

Depending on the price of the small unit i've got 2 people I could share with for the right price straight away (1 good friend, 1 family member).

    Cheers,

I had a small 1000sq ft unit rented a few years ago. I was the name on the lease and got a great insurance package from NFU. We had cars and bikes in there and an engineering workshop. Long gone now though :crybaby:

I used to do all the work on my cars. Now lack of space, work and family etc have restricted that. But would consider sharing a unit, as would my brother. I think it would all be down to the number of people involved. More people = more hassel, but if people need the space to work on their cars etc. then it may be the way forward for us.

I will get some prices and size of the unit, terms etc and if it is feasable then I will put it forward on here and see what feedback I get.
