What kind of things put you off buying a car?

Been watching this thread on another forum and some of the stories people have had when looking at cars have been hilarious.

So what things put people off buying a car?
has anyone ever seen any badly written adverts or are there things you might see on a car when you look at it that put you off?

one phrase that kills an advert for me is 'a real head turner'

Overpricing

Sometimes the seller themselves. If they don't inspire confidence or seem trustworthy I'd avoid purchasing.

Oh and I despise the phase 'First to see will buy'. Selling a car is by far one of the most stressful things a person can do. The first viewer never buys, whatever the condition of your car!!!

i find a lot of people are fussy i mean if i wanted a cheap car nowt would put me off as long as it ran ok even if it needed small repairs but sum people want a full service historty mint body work a new engine 12 months tax and a life guarentee for 100£

and to be fair i only ever sold 2 cars in my life. they dont tend to live long with me

This tells me that the driveline has taken an absolute battering and has likely been crashed numerous times, so check for repairs!
