Hi Folks,
As many of you know, I'm selling my E46 BMW M3 and have had an inquiry from a UK mainland buyer about the ins and outs of reregistration, UK MOT etc.
The gentleman is concerned that if he were to come over and purchase the car that he wouldn't be allowed to drive the car on the mainland until it had been mainland registered and through it's MOT! Doesn't bode well for him so much as driving off the ferry!!!
Obviously on the Island if we are to buy a car from the UK we get until the UK tax runs out before we need to reregister the car as Manx and put the car through the Manx test. Surely the same would happen in reverse? There must be at least some days of grace for those bringing cars to the UK mainland?
If anyone can be of help It would be smashing.
Many thanks
