I was heading up the Clanagh road on my way towards Sulby going to work and hit a patch of black ice and skidded and smushed the passenger side of my car into the wall of a bridge, scraped along it and skidded across the other side of the road and landed in a ditch wrapped round a tree with a ledge of like 30cms to battle my way out of as there was a big drop into a field/river there, my car filled with smoke and my passenger door was too smushed for me to open it

    Did you get hurt?

I know the feeling of stacking a car, it's horrible.

Nope, not even a bruise, i wasn't going fast or anything. hit the ice quite a bit in front of the bridge so seen it all coming, just screamed then hit the wall as i couldnt control it, nothing i could do, was more bothered about my car than myself, still waiting to hear if its a write off or not! i couldnt bear to look at it but when everyone came to rescue me i heard one of the guys saying driveshaft, wishbone, suspension and wheel all looking screwed on the passenger side, wheel was pretty much hanging off :(

Powering out on Sheet ice just isnt going to work. I have tried and tested the theory in a 4wd vehicle.

Another one bits the dust? What a heartless thing to say when soemone has just lost their pride and joy!

Call me what you like but its easily done, just bang winter tryes on & old steelies jobs a good'en!
Ohh woops my mistake people drive around with summer tryes in winter, & winter tryes in summer.
Im not a knob, just not as thick as the rest of you.
Ohh and powering out of ice is easy if your ready & taking it easy.
I think considering my driving experience & my passion for cars, im a great driver.
    Lewis Hamilton was 17-18.
Its common sense, thats why britain is going down the s**t! No one has any!
Under inflate your tryes, keep in high or low gears depending on conditions & have a ball!
I love how tightly bound every asswipe is on here.
