A PEDESTRIAN has been killed in an accident on the Castletown Road.
The accident happened at about 6am at the Mount Murray Dip in Santon.
It involved one vehicle and a pedistrian.
Force media officer Will Campbell said: 'The main Douglas to Castletown road between the Cooil Road Roundabout and the Mount Murray back road remains closed whilst specialist collision investigators deal with the scene.
'We are appealing for any vehicle drivers who drove through Mount Murray Dip, in either direction, between 5.30am and 6.15am to contact Police Headquarters on 631212.
'Likewise, any pedestrians in the area between those times are asked to come forward.'
The road will remain closed until at least 2pm.
