It held me up, took 1 hour to get from tesco to home!
So lucky no one was injured, looking at the 5th photo its pretty amazing! I bet they were very shaken, its not everyday a 20T digger lands on your windscreen!

    (fantastic pics btw Amadeous!)

Lady at work was blaming the car for the accident, said that he didn't give enough room to the lorry that was swinging wide (as lorries have to do) so the lorry had to take avoiding action and tipped over.

IF that was the case, and since nobody was injured,, HAHAHA, take THAT inconsiderate driver!

(But I agree, that trailer was not built to carry a 360)

If that were the case it still wouldn't of been the cars fault as it were on the side of the road it were supposed to be on, where as the lorry would have had to cross on to the wrong side of the road and therefore should of waited until the car had passed and then took the corner wide, i think anyway

I'm sorry but I doubt the lorry needs that much room on that roomy peice of road lol,

Speaking to a fireman earlier, supposadly the driver ducked but just felt the digger on the top of his head, was a car full too!

The digger was chained down too

Question for Amadeus - How come you're always at the scene of RTC's and the likes with your camera?! You can put money on any photos on manx radio or IOM online have your name underneith!

That aside - one hell of a lucky escape for the family. Not something you'd expect to see through on your roof... Good job it wasn't a convertible eh?

talking to a bloke at work today, who is- i would say, more than qualified to hold an opinion on this, but the truck probably wasn't overloaded on its towing weight and that the digger could legally be carried on that trailer as the drive wheels inside the tracks were within the width of the trailer deck, so it was kinda sketchy but not illegal, christ knows what happened then? :? act of god? lol
