    used to be the easy way to do it but unfortunatly this tetra radio system stops u doin that

    Speaking to the fireman, he told me that the trailer weight with the digger on was to heavy for the truck pulling it to handle, some thing about the trailer can't be havier or something that the truck pulling it?

    surely thats rubbish? i have a car trailer that can be upto 3.5 ton (braked trailer) and my landrover will only be 2 ton or there abouts... and is allowed to tow up to 3.5 ton as long as it is a braked trailer

    would of thought it would depend on wat engine lorry had, looking at photos, its a ridged tipper lorry, if the back was filled up to its weight limit?

    yeah, thinkin on its not illegal to have a heavier trailer as its perfectly legal to tow a low loader with a tarmac laying machine n a roller on up to 38t GVW on the IOMs roads

    Sadly, the old turn-FM-radio-into-scanner trick doesn't work anymore. All I can say is, it's a fine art to be there when something happens 8)
