Long overdue, thought I'd do a write up on this Carbon Black BMW M3 paint correction I've carried out this week!
Hot off the hectic weekend at Waxstock, straight into a paint correction detail for me...
2nd use of the indoor facilities available to me in the Meon Valley so I can do the work regardless of the weather we've had this year. Not a lot of use to you guys but you might like to see it!

    The victim before:

Wheels washed with AS Smart wheels, envy brushes and Vikan new soft wheel brush.
Door shuts etc pre soaked with AS G101, and agitated with brushes. Pressure washed clean. Body soaked with Bubbly Jubbly and allowed to dwell before being rinsed off at high pressure them washed via the TBM and a trusty Z sponge.

Something new to try out so I added this to the paintwork. Sticky and clingy in nature. Looked quite runny until it hit the paintwork thats for sure.

Sadly due to the colour of the car I didnt see the reaction but it left a smooth surface for claying.

Clay was my all time fave, Dodo Gentle Grey. Not picking up too much this time.

Paint thickness readings were pretty much as expected. A few low areas but nothing too scary.
    Onto the defects...

Let battle commence. Polish Scholl S3 Gold, yellow Megs polishing pad on the flex rotary. Refined with Menzerna 85RE on 3m blue pad. Wiped down with Car Pro Eraser and checked with Brinkman and Sun gun.

    Unrefined as yet

Polishing took approx 13hrs to get the results you see above.
Once the polishing was done it was time to de-dust and use the car pro eraser again to make sure the paint was squeaky clean and re-checked with the Sun gun.

LSP for the BMW was Wolfs Chemicals Body Wrap.

Applied as per instructions and buffed off.
Tyres were dressed, exhausts polished, glass cleaned, hood hoovered (again!).

Interior was hoovered and given a good cleaning with Dr Leather wipes. Plastics cleaned and dressed. Vanity mirrors and interior glass cleaned.
