    Hi
Does anyone know of anywhere that can polish glass, specifically windscreens? I've got a load of fine wiper scratches that are starting to show up now there is actual sunshine and I can't really afford to replace the entire screen. I bought a glass polishing kit online, but haven't had much luck with it.

    Cheers

    Martin

Maybe speak to a decent valeter or detailed. T cut does a scratch remover they might be able to go over it with a machine polisher ?? ;-)

£50/£60 on your windscreen excess isn't it. Sure that's what mine is on my policy. Alternatively try Manx glass and glazing or someone like that. They use stuff that looks a bit like toothpaste to take imperfections out of windows...

Aye, think it's £50 excess on my insurance, but not sure if it would be classed as bad enough to warrant replacement. I'll give manx glass and glazing a call, see what they say.

    Thanks

If you do find something/someone suitable, please let me know!

Had a bird strike on my windscreen whilst driving in heavy rain, it bent the wiper arm and wrecked the wiper blade causing metal to scratch the glass for about 15 minutes until I got home, it now leaves streaks of rain behind and makes the most hideous sound as my wiper drags its sorry arse over the screen!

The last kit I tried was hand applied, so I pushed the boat out and bought a machine based polishing kit to try :

Now just need to beg/borrow/steal a drill to give it a go...
