I put a new car stereo in around 10 months ago. Works fine and my phone can connect to it using bluetooth without an issue
However, when a call gets routed through the speakers, i can't hear anything!
the person on the other end can hear me fine, but i can't hear them!
I even sent the stereo back, Sony tested it and said it was fine
There isn't much in the way of connections on it, so i don't think i missed anything.
Any ideas?

Might sound really really really silly, but does it have seperate volume levels for music and phone modes?
Basically have you tried turning the volume right up when someone phones you?

It sounds like its a problem with your phone not passing on the audio - check your phone to make sure it is using the bluetooth device as a 'headset'.
I reject your reality & substitute my own..

yeah agree with Jono sounds like a phone issue... not utilising the connection.
When the connection is made does it still utilise the phones mic so that the otehr person can hear you or doe sit have a seperate mic in teh headunit?
Is the audio from the phone cut when the call is established or can you still hear the persons voice as normal through the phone speaker?

It has a microphone built into the headunit which it uses. It cuts the sound totally, and automatically goes through to the headunit. If i put the call back through the phone or even the phones speaker it works fine
Just been out and tried again. My wife can hear me perfectly but i can't hear a bloody thing! I pressed every button (very technical) and i'm baffled.
Perhaps it needs dropping off at the auto electrical centre. Another financial contribution to the M3 money pit.
