Thought I'd whack this up here as facebook may be good but impossible for 'project threads'

Bought Jonathans Mk1 Focus RS after realising the Fiesta was at the point where big money would need to be spend to get anything more out of it. Plus I was predicting a raise at work and insurance was reasonable (now I'm getting old and building up NCB). Was also starting to get fed up with karting after a whole year of nothing but bad luck :banghead:

    Current Spec:
    (just clicked onto)42k miles
    De-Cat
    Bluefin
    Around 260bhp estimated
    Absolutely mint

picked it up a few weeks back and was lucky enough to sell the fiesta within less than a minute of advertising it :D

Gave it a clean, whacked on the new plates I ran out and bought and borrowed my sisters arty farty photo skills

Absolutely love it and is the perfect step up from my ZS (I'd have felt cheated spending nearly as much on a fiesta ST and the focus ST don't have the limited edition thing going on)

Plans (for now) are to keep it mint and maybe look at performance mods in the future. It looks stunning so little can be done cosmetically

+ Replace missing dustcaps - went for some flashy sparco ones to match my interior
+ Sort out car park crease in drivers door (its tiny but as I can see it, the door might as well be missing)
+Touch up 'DoT surface treating' stone chips
+ Repair 'Dot surface treating' stone chip in windscreen or replace with new screen
+ Full Detail to remove minor swirl marks in paint
+ Alloy Refurb (only 1 has a tiny kerb mark on but the laquer is starting to peel in tiny spot on them)
    + Forged Actuator
    + Silicone Hoses

    - Stainless Exhaust Manifold
    - Stainless Exhaust System
    - AirTec Intercooler
    - Remap + Dyno readouts to go with the above

Great to see my baby being well looked after!

It'll be interesting to see what she dynos at. I'd doubt a further remap would do much because I specifically told Bluefin that I wanted their map for a phase 2 decat Focus RS. Their standard map is 240BHP for an RS with a cat.....plus the decat itself has been known to liberate over 25BHP even without a remap. 250-260BHP is what you should see minimum on an accurate dyno (with an even more impressive torque figure). However, I gather that the torque is still limited for drivability in 1st and 2nd gears.......so you really need to dyno 3rd gear.

My next plans were for a Gen 2 K&N, check out You Tube for how they sound and perform. You won't be disappointed.

seen u comin outta mcdonalds today in it (obviously you only went in there to use the toilet  ) and my dad likes ur golf. think he kinda wishes he hadnt got a diesel.

Just found out pumaspeed do a mega turbo kit that would give me around 500bhp with the right fueling and internals. once ive done all of my chartered accountancy exams, its happening!!! just a shame that (and the salary that goes with it) is a few years away lol

Yup got the bladder of a 2 year old :P

I can run 380-400hp on stock internals but the turbo kit fitted & mapped is about £6.5k :(

just joined up to rs owners club and thought "I've made it" :D

found out a few handy tips and little things that I will get sorted.

A forged actuator as these are one of the main weaknesses on the car and also replace some of the hoses with silicone items so I dont have to worry about pipes splitting and leaking the sweet sweet boost

yeah that was the first one i signed up to but people hardly ever seem to post on there so leaning towards rs owners club. there is a guy on there trying to trace every single mk1 FRS made and get as many as possible to the 10th anniversary meet. Id love to go but I've got a big race coming up in the UK so funds wont allow.

Would love to go to either ford fair or rsoc national day next year
