Plans are to use it daily and keep it fairly standard, maybe a few oem+ touches here & there. Until I get the remap bug anyway :)

It's my "sensible" daily. Be a while before I think about a map. Some 18's are in order though :)

The dsg box, once you've got the hang of it you'll never want a manual again. That's my opinion anyway :)

We're upto 51180 miles already and still loving it! Well except it's love of the super when I put the boot in :D

It's about 3 months too old to have the aux in as standard fit and seeing as all my music is on the iPhone I needed to sort this.

Bought one of these off the bay:

And fitted it this morning, here is the end result. No broken trim either !!!! :D

Being a daily the poor thing rarely gets love and due to work it gets covered in cement dust that washing just won't get off.

This side was the cleaner one!

It was pretty hanging to be honest, quite ashamed of myself :/

So, first up was a wash with the old microfibre noodle mit, end result.

    Image

Clean to the eye but still covered in cement dust.

Clayed twice! Using auto glym surface detail clay kit

    Image

Polished twice with auto glym super resin polish. (Don't want a repetition of this mess again)

Had to clay the glass before a clean with auto glym fast glass

End result, much better. Still not perfect but I'm hoping this crap might not stick for a while.

Hopefully some shiney parts might fall onto it soon :)

Since i bought the car its had a pretty bad engine rattle, this being an early tfsi motor it had the crap cam chain (the chain connects the two cams, it also has a cambelt which drives only one cam. For some reason VW thought this was the best way round the job) which stretched badly and made nasty noises. So it was sent off to Scott Taylor in ramsey for the cam chain & tensioner replacing which i can happily say has fixed the rattle :D While it was there i had the dsg box oil & filter changed..

She's like a new un and can highly recommend Scott Taylor Vehicle Specialists to anyone :)

Just after christmas i bought & fitted a towbar to carry the trials bike about on.

    Image

And today i gave it a good wash, polish & wax. Polished using AutoGlym Super Resin Polish and waxed with Dodo Juice Orange Crush, it needs a machine polish due to a lot of fine scratches but its looking good and protected for now :)
