To me all I see is a blue mini with big carbs and lots of shiny bits!

I cannot help but notice the carbs are on the front of that engine instead of on the back as normal on the a series, is that a Maxi 1750 engine running twin 40's?

Yeah got it home all okay cheers. I ended up driving her back up to Heysham, was a-lot easier in the end than taking a trailer all the way down to London & back!

It's got a very rare Original AKM Works 7 Port Head on it and it's a 1380. Ill post up a full spec of her soon. She certainly shifts thats for sure! It's given me a much needed grin from driving again!

Very nice, I used to work for MED in Leicester (Minisprint Engineering Developments) where we used to do the 1380 conversion to the a+ series engines and they go like stink!!! the quickest thing we used to put in the mini's though was a 1430 turbo using a modified MG Metro Turbo engine!! They used to eat sapphire cossies!!!!!

Cannot wait to see this on our roads, very nice looking motor!! Well done on the find!!

(Even though I am no longer able to fit in a mini let alone drive one, I still have a soft spot for them!!)

Funnily enough my brother has just got a block back from MED and has just built a 1430 for his mini running a single weber 45 5 port.. He is very chuffed with it to say the least and boy does it shift!

I'm just looking for some proper filters for the carbs, probably trumpet socks as have limited space and want to keep the engine in top condition.
