Glad to hear the car is coming on ready for May Nice to see a car being looked after, rather than being ran into the ground. I look forward to seeing how it progresses. I may have to drop the headlining on the celica, if I want to use the sunroof fully

UPDATE!!!! SHINY SHINIES!!!! (SOME) NEW PARTS HAVE ARRIVED!!!!!!!! Thanks to some of the boys from http://www.volvoforums.org.uk who have sent a few bits over, I now have some of the parts to get the car fixed!!! Alex (gatos from the volvo forum) sent me the heater matrix and lower rad hose for a fantastic price of £14.41 incl post and packaging (pacaging alone must have been about £5 of cardboard and bubble wrap ) and Peter (pacman67 from said forum) supplied the indicator lights from a t4!! for £20 incl post&pack!! I think you'll agree, BARGAIN!!!!!!! Now to get cracking fitting the matrix and getting the dash back in so I'll be living in my garage for the next few days whilst I get it done!!!!

Well I finally got around to doing some work on the ovloV today and am quite pleased with my progress. Still got a way to go yet but have finally started to make the car look like I may actually drive it again soon!!

Heater matrix is now done!!!!!! Dashboard is back in the car and all is looking well in the world again!!!! Dashboard went back in fairly easily and I'm happy with the end result although I haven't tested it yet!! Still a few things left to do before the car goes back on the road: Lower coolant hose - Parts here, require fitting Starter Motor - Paid for and on it's way Replace Front Brake Calipers, Discs & Pads - Now doing a larger brake conversion from a phase 2 S40 1.9d - Parts paid for, waiting for delivery Replace N/S Headlamp & Indicator - Now upgrading the headlamps to Phase 2 headlamps and they look nicer and are a damn site brighter than the candles Volvo fitted as standard to the P1 car. Will need to do a bit of rewiring to make them fit but found all the guides to do this on line. Desperately trying to find a pair of headlights at the moment, nobody seems to have any. New indicators are here, ordered a pair as they are the crystal clear ones needed to match the headlights I need. Replace N/S ABS Sensor - Still looking for one of these, again nobody seems to have them!! Here are a few pics of the finished interior

Got the new front brake calipers, discs & pads fitted yesterday, bought them from the same guy I got the heater matrix from and again, the parts were like new. I have been informed that the car these came off had new brake discs and pads fitted and less than a week later, the engine blew!!! Hence the reason my friend bought it to strip for parts!! Did have a slight "moment" when I saw how much bigger the new brakes were compared to the old ones as I know the car these came off had 16" wheels fitted as standard from Volvo and my earlier car has the 15" alloy fitted but with very little clearance, the wheels do still fit and turn without touching!! New Discs and Calipers New Disc on the Left, Smaller Old Disc on the Right Fitted!! And the Wheel Does Still Fit!!! Just!!!!!!!

I have replaced the bottom coolant hose today and fitted the new starter motor. I built the car back up and turned the key, I was expecting a bit of a fight as the car hasn't been started in nearly six months but the car gave no sign of struggle!! With about half a turn from the new starter, she burst into life like never before!! bled the coolant and left her running for a short while to pressurise and it seem at the moment that the new heater matrix is doing its job. I am once again a happy man!! It is still going to be a week or two before I can take her out on the road but I am very nearly there!! Jobs left to do: Replace Passenger Headlight - I have decided to just replace with a standard phase 1 headlight for now just to get the car back on the road. Bleed Brakes - Need to get the air out of the system ready to try these bigger brakes out. Replace ABS Sensor - Again, leaving that job for the moment. Will be done at a later date. I am reluctant to spend any more money on the car at the moment until I know all the jobs I have done to the car have in fact worked!!
