Well, thought i would pop up a few pics as i am getting occasionally pestered about sh*t getting done but with no proof

So to be fair this is a crap update and i am covering a fair bit of ground with very little in the way of pictures, but meh, thats life, as i am doing all this on my ass and on my own taking pictures is a bit of an after thought.

    So

Rear axle fully re-built and back on the car, I decided the Ronal's were too heavy so i picked up some 8.5j 17 BBS RK's these are 7kgs each, but have an et of 12, and with the tyre widths i want to run need some "massage" to get on the car, beggars can't be choosers so when these came up i chose to ignore the bodywork required, the arches need some proper attention anyway so sod it.

The arches need to come out a lot, but heh got there in the end, big thanks to unders for providing the arch roller (one done, one more to go).

    To compare:

    Standard arch

    Made to fit:

    In other news,

    Evo sump and pump

    Image

    Reworked evo head

    Image

    Pile of roll cage

    Grippier tyres

There is more, will update more fully when time is on my side.

I'm liking that flair! Good job!

How long did it take you? Or did you just get bored and wind it right out? :violent1:

Bit of a mixed bag dude, some patience followed by some winding it out as i got rained on in terms of rolling probably about an hour and a half, ish, i have hit some snags though as in places the arch will need a bit of chopping as rust will not flair  more irritating there seems to be a hard spot, or spot weld in the middle or the arch that would not flair for love nor money so it created a kind of M shape, until i got in there with the crow bar and showed it the error of its ways, but it will need a thin skim of stopper to get it looking spot on.

Sounds about right. Those spot welds often meet a hammer to guide them in the right direction. It does look like a pretty neat job!

Now can you get it exactly the same on the other side?

Not aiming for any sound in particular, as to be honest i don't care what noise it makes providing it makes good power :D
