right... not posted my goigns on for a while but they ahve been happening... latest project is a budget build citroen ax...

started life as a 1 litre ax with a knackered headgasket and shoes locking on the rear beam.... got the car for £80

Last week i picked up a smashed VTS for £100...

yes im going to build a VTS powered ax.

got lots of piccies will try and uplaod over the weekend..

Bought a cambelt kit for it today and will do oil+filter too.. few obstacles to overcome etc but will comment as and when i uplaod pics...

Should be good and ready for september trackday along with the rallye.

    LOL you wish!

Ripped the dash out today.. so shes completely naked now...

I considered spraying and derusting the engine bay but cant really be bothered. I wnat to use the VTS clocks so i have oil and water temp gagues on display... the clocks are slightly different to the ax cluster so goign to have to do soemthing tehre and sort the wiring from clocks to engine sensors..

I was also goign to fit the VTS PAS as the rack is shorter lock to lock... the bolt alignment is slightly off too so have to drill and put bolts through the bulkhead for this i think... or just refit original rack.

This has already paid for itself by selling the geabox and interior.

the rear arches may need cutting to accomodate the wider track and wheel size of the VTS beam
Just need to sort the wiring to new engine now and to the clocks.

Using the s1 rallye gearbox off my other saxo, which needs a rebuild before fitting.. and probably also goign to be fitting teh good rear beam off otehr saxo too... not decided on wheels yet was thinking some stealthy 14/15" black steelies.

Also to add Ive foudn £9.79 in the ax and £3.40 in the saxo.

So cost so far= ax- £80, saxo £100

sold gearbox and interior from saxo= £100 and £13.19

    £80-13.19= 66.81 total cost so far. :D
