New bits on the way for the Teg, new manifold.

    http://www.toda-europe.com/catalog/prod ... cts_id=385

    And a programmable ECU.

    http://www.tdi-north.com/products/honda ... bleecu.htm

Will be going across towards the end of Feb to get the ECU mapped for the mods. Should be looking at gains of around 15-20bhp extra and some extra torque to go with it.

Okay I have been away this week get the teggy worked on.

First up was a rolling road session and ECu remap with TDI north in Warrington. I got left in a freezing cold waiting room for 2 hours while I could hear them working on my car. The end result is 244BHP and 170lbs/ft Torque. A result which I quite satisfied with.

On the road the car is running smoother but the ECU really does wonders as the vtec engagement point has been lowered to 4500rpm. This means that vtec isn't as aggressive and the cross over point is smoother as a result. Going through first and second seems insanely quick and you hit 60 before you know it but you can still just sit back and take it easy if you want.

Next on the agenda was a trip to a place called Centre Gravity in Warwickshire to fit some Spoon progressive lowering springs and to get a proper fast road setup done on the suspension. This whole process took 11 hours but it was so worth it. All the toe in and cambers have been corrected to make allowances for the lowering and also to suit our roads and my driving style.

After a test drive the difference was clear. The difference is hard to explain but just when you think the car is about to understeer the back seems tp slip out just a tad to support the front end. At the same time you have complete confidence that the back isn't going to complete let go. I'll be up on the track asap to find out how far I can push the car round corners. At the moment there seems to be endless amounts of grip and the handling characteristics seem to defy the front wheel drive nature of the car.

If anyone is serious about getting a proper Geo done on their car I can't recommend Chris Franklin and Centre Gravity enough. You don't just sit in a waiting room you help him out while he tells you what he's doing and why he's doing it. I'll get some pics up when Chris sends them to me.

Hi mate, I work on Broadway and myself and my father were admiring your stunning car this morning.

244BHP is a helluvalot through the front wheels, I found 190BHP in my last gen Integra Type R quite a handful at times. Is it a little scary in the wet............like today?

Since I've fitted the ES Engine mount inserts and the progressive springs the power is much easier to get down. In the dry it's fine but in the wet first and second are a but hairy but it's very predictable and easily controlled. The front wheels are both running the same camber and toe now whereas before they weren't, this has also helped get the power down and has helped with torque steer as well.

And it looks much better now it's been lowered a bit.
