Agreed---- and as you are UK based if you want to drive on the IOM you must have a FULL uk licence . You could not drive here on a UK provisional however old you are .

I've driven around many countries in Europe on Manx plates and without a GBM sticker and never had a problem.
Probably worth taking a small GBM sticker in your luggage and put it on if there is a problem -but I doubt you would need it -
