The points won't transfer over - but they will still exist over here, so if you then convert the UK licence back to a Manx one, they will magically reappear!

Filled up at the Milestone today and saw a notice saying that they aren't doing the Shell Points anymore. I've had no problem with the ST being FWD. Wet, dry, hot, cold - never had any issues. Sticks solid to the floor.

Have had a look at the RS, but with the economy at the moment, £25,000 is a fair bit to spend on a car.........

Had a reply from the DVLA who confirm that the minimum age to drive a car in the UK is 17 years and they state:
If you are 16 years old then it will not be possible for you to use your Isle of Man driving licence to drive a vehicle in mainland Great Britain.

Having spoken to an Officer in the Met Police's Traffic Dept, he was of the view that anyone aged 16 caught driving a car in the UK with a full Manx Licence would be being prosecuted for basically driving without a driving licence...... Obviously that is his own view and would need to be verified by...
